Hi, my name is Karen Wilhem, you may know me as fortlady.  I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 38 years, am the mother of two wonderful sons, the grandmother of 9 little miracles, 4 girls and 5 boys and MIL to a great girl.  I have an avid interest in history and archaeology and have helped in the excavation and preservation of the prehistoric ruins here in the town I reside in and also a couple of early Arizona historic forts, hence my yahoo nickname.  I have always loved taking pictures and my sister tried to get me involved with her in paper scrapping.  I was never a very good at it, and it took up too much room and made such a mess!  One day while shopping at two peas in a bucket, I noticed some digital layouts, decided to try it out and was soon hooked, wow, no mess to clean up and I love creating layouts on my computer!  I am still learning and am so honored and excited to be a member of Doris' Creative Team!  I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 and love it, I purchased 3, but have yet to switch over.  I have Jasc PSP 8, but hardly ever use it, I guess I have an Adobe mindset, LOL.
